JOIN THE CONCERT BAND
Our members are quite diverse, from professional players to accomplished amateurs. We typically rehearse every Tuesday evening from 7:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (unless it is a performance week).Rehearsals are held in the Julia D. Good Rehearsal Hall, 1924 Melody Lane, Melbourne, FL 32902. The rehearsal hall is directly behind the Melbourne Municipal Auditorium. Enter from Fee Avenue, next to the library.

If you are interested in playing with the Melbourne Municipal Concert Band, please email info@melbournemunicipalband.org. You will be contacted by the section leader who will give you further instructions. We expect our players to have a minimum skill level. The section leader will determine if your skills are adequate to play with the band.

NEW HORIZONS BAND
For those who love music, friends, and fun, try out the New Horizons Band of Melbourne. Whether you're a beginner, advanced - or somewhere in between - there's always a place for you at the Julia Good Rehearsal Hall behind the Melbourne Auditorium from 9 am to 11 am on Tuesdays. Bring your friends! Bring your family! And most importantly, bring yourself with your instrument! Expect to be inspired, encouraged, and have loads of fun as you play well known and new pieces with our fun-loving conductor, Kurt Schulenburg. And for those who really like to feel the beat, stay for the jazz band that meets every other week after the concert band. But the fun doesn't stop there. On the off weeks that the jazz band doesn't meet, Mr. Schulenburg holds a music theory class that focuses on writing music and creating your own pieces. There's no doubt about it--your Tuesday mornings will never be the same!

JOIN THE AUXILIARY
If you would like to be a part of Melbourne Municipal Band's remarkable music scene, but playing an instrument is not your thing, join the team that works with the band and behind the scenes to provide a totally exciting experience for our audience. We are the ambassadors for the band: we meet & greet, run raffles, operate a snack bar, decorate, sell tickets, and organize exhibits and socials. We support all Melbourne Municipal Band and Swingtime events. We need your help. Contact the Auxiliary President at auxiliary@melbournemunicipalband.org.

MELBOURNE COMMUNITY ORCHESTRA
Many of our band members also participate in the Melbourne Community Orchestra, which rehearses in the Julia D. Good Rehearsal Hall. If you are interested in learning more about our local community orchestra, please go to mcorchestra.org. for more information.
